What to expect at The Minskoff Theatre

The front entrance to the Minskoff Theatre is on 45th Street, steps from the world-famous Times Square. Often, lines form outside in the hours before a performance begins. Doors then open around 30 minutes before performances start.

Inside, you’ll find a grand main lobby welcoming guests. All of the main lobby, orchestra section, and mezzanine level can be accessed via elevator and escalator, with restrooms and outlets throughout.

In colder months, many guests head to the coat check as soon as they’re inside. Please be sure to arrive with plenty of time if you plan to visit — latecomers are often held in the lobby until a suitable break in the performance. 

The main auditorium is set up in a continental seating layout, meaning long rows and no middle aisle to break up sections. There are much shorter side aisles and an overhanging mezzanine section with additional seating.

The rich red velvets of the seating help build that iconic theater atmosphere. Golden lighting, crimson carpets, and high ceilings complete the look. All that’s left to do is find your seat and enjoy the show.
