On Saturday 27th September 2025, Moulin Rouge! The Musical will now be coming to New York and staged in New York, in none other than Al Hirschfeld Theatre! From the film screen to the Broadway stage, fall in love with a timeless story of truth, beauty, love, and freedom on this Saturday evening showing!
Adapted from the late 2001 motion picture directed, produced, and co-written by Baz Luhrmann, Moulin Rouge! The Musical is a live adaptation of the same romantic tale focused on Christian, an American composer, and Satine, the Moulin Rouge venue star entertainer. The Broadway musical, which started at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in 2019, adapts a new repackaging by expanding on the the 2001 film, especially with scoring, with over 70 arrangements prepared by 161 writers and composers making the actual premiere on the Broadway stage.
